Patrick Bruns, the 33 year old racer from Champaign, IL has accomplished a great deal from very little throughout his racing career.  As a young child, Patrick helped run the family business which turned out to be the very last full service gas station on Route 66 in Lincoln, IL. Patrick learned to appreciate racing, mechanics, and sportsmanship at a very young age from his father Roger Bruns, a former sprint car racer.  Roger traded a lawn mower for Patrick's first racecar and required him to assist in all aspects of setup and maintenance for the car.  Thanks to many people whom believe in his talents, Patrick quickly began climbing the ladder of success, earning victories and championships in multiple classes.  Now he drives in an assortment of open wheel classes for top owners, from winged and non-winged sprint cars to classic modifieds and midgets.  This season he plans to captivate audiences all over the country once again in the #81 Quick Draw Racing , USAC Silver Crown car, along with racing in other events as his schedule allows.
